The God’s Princess Warrior Story
Every woman was created to be one of God’s Princess Warriors from the moment she was conceived in the mind of God. When a woman, young or old, invites Jesus Christ into her heart to be the Lord of her life, she casts off all worldly identities and takes on her true identity as a Child of the King! She is adorned in a robe of righteousness as the Daughter of the “King of Kings”...she is a “Princess”! God is beautiful and we, as women, reflect the beauty of God. He created each one of us perfectly. Sure, it is hard to imagine we’re perfect. We tend to be so critical of ourselves with the pressures of the world mounting up against us to be “perfect” women. The world shows us what clothes are the most stylish, what hairstyles are the trendiest, and what our body is supposed to look like. The pressure our society places on young women today to “measure up” are incredible. We would be foolish to think this does not affect little girls. But God has told us not to compare ourselves with others and not to be conformed to the world.
It’s vital for Christian mothers to instill spiritual truths in their daughters beginning at an early age and teach them lessons from the Word that help them identify and embrace who God says they are in the Bible. God created every human being and He did not make a mistake when He formed and shaped us. (Read Psalm 139:13-16) If we try to be what the world says is acceptable we will be miserable forever, and who wants to live like that? God never intended us to live like that! We experience the fullness of life when we discipline ourselves to be students of the Bible. It is our duty as daughters of the King to love and live by God’s Word. God’s Princesses are Word Warriors!
God has instilled in us a strength that is bold and we are to stand firm in the power of the Holy Spirit and fight the good fight. When the Enemy is prowling around and trying to devour you, tempt you, and deceive you, God tells us in Ephesians 6 to put on the full armor of God and to wield our sword against Satan. We cannot just sit back and be weak and vulnerable women who are afraid to step into battle and face the evil one. Christ already won the victory when he conquered death on the cross and so we should have no fear, because Christ our King is a Mighty Warrior who leads us into battle.
We must get on our knees and pray and speak the Word of God against the lies the Enemy sends our way! He fights for us! The Word of God is the Sword we use to fight offensively when we are being attacked. Ever hear those lies in your head that try to take you down? Lies like, ”you’re not worthy to be loved,” “you’re not talented enough,” “you’re not pretty enough,” etc. When you are confronted with the lies of the enemy, you are to pick up your sword and shield and march onto the battlefield with courage and confidence. God is with you. We fight in His strength, not our own. (Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
Maybe you are a Christian who is fully aware you are a Princess Warrior but you feel as if you have been banished to the dungeon. The pressures of life have gotten to you. The trials and temptations seem endless and your heart hurts from wounds the enemy has inflicted on you in your past. He keeps reminding you of all the mistakes you’ve made and that there is no hope for change in your life. You desire to live a life unveiled in freedom, but you’re just too scared to share with anyone your heart for fear they will judge you.
If that is you, there is hope in JESUS, your Rescuing Knight! He wants you to experience joy on earth. He doesn’t desire you to be bound in chains. There is healing for all those who ask for it and Christ is the Great Healer. He can restore you and make you new again. He can transform your life from the inside out if you truly want Him too. Jesus is a gentleman, though, and He will not force himself on you. If you really want change in your life, you need to ask Him to come into those dark and lonely places, remove the wounds, and bring healing and restoration. Through the process of healing and renewal, a Princess Warrior will emerge and see that her identity is IN CHRIST ALONE. She is not defined by her job, her talents, her appearance, or what others think of her. Even more importantly, she will understand fully she is NOT defined by the sin in her past! God wiped away all her sins as a result of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and resurrection.
No matter who you are or what you have done in your past, the Blood of Christ can cover it and He can make all things new! Some women have not yet discovered they are one of God’s Princess Warriors. They may be living “in the world” and have not yet opened the gift of salvation given to all who believe and accept Jesus Christ. If that is you, all you have to do is have the faith of a child and believe. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you and He will make you a new creature in Christ!
Maybe you are a Christian woman who is journeying through life shackled in chains to addictions, hurts, feelings of shame, fears, unforgiveness, etc. You too can discover the amazing freedom Christ can give you as a result of facing your hurts head-on with Jesus by your side and the power of the Holy Spirit. Christ wants to set you free! When a Princess Warrior has been redeemed, restored, transformed, and renewed by Almighty God, she experiences joy and a freedom she has never experienced before as she lives her life unveiled and walking in freedom on earth.
Remember, do not give up! Sanctification is a process and each day God can and will...if you ask him...transform you into the likeness of Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:16-19 says, “But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is Spirit.” (NIV)
So, whether you are just discovering you’re a Princess, you’re a Princess bound by chains at the bottom of the dungeon, or you’re a Princess who has lost her way in the castle, God is calling you to the Throne Room. He is inviting you to come into His presence so He can love you, heal you, and bring you new life. Your King desires to teach you who you really are IN CHRIST as you pick up your Sword, the Word of God, and read it, believe it and be transformed by it! Rise up, Daughter’s of the King. God is calling you to battle! Are you ready?
